Role Overview:
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, analyzing requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that maximize value for both the business and the customer. Your focus will be ensuring that business requirements are effectively captured, communicated, and implemented in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Product Portfolio Managers, developers, and stakeholders to act as a bridge between business and technology, supporting the delivery of customer-focused outcomes. This role requires a strong emphasis on analyzing business processes, recommending improvements, and collaborating on defining and measuring value.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements. Translate these into clear functional specifications for technology solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Process Mapping & Optimization:
Analyze and document current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with teams to implement solutions that streamline operations and improve value delivery.
User Stories & Acceptance Criteria:
Collaborate with the Product Manager to define and refine user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure that stories reflect business needs and customer value while aligning with the product roadmap.
Value Measurement & Prioritization Support:
Partner with the Product Portfolio Manager and Product Manager to define and articulate measurable value metrics for new features and initiatives. Use these metrics to support prioritization and decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding of requirements and goals. Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather feedback and align priorities.
Data Analysis & Insights:
Use data modeling and analysis techniques to support decision-making. Provide actionable insights by identifying trends, relationships, and opportunities that inform strategy and process improvements.
Documentation & Knowledge Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of business processes, requirements, and system functionalities. Ensure all documentation supports knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
Testing & Validation:
Assist in testing and validation efforts, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful user acceptance testing (UAT).
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes and technology solutions. Work with stakeholders to implement enhancements that drive efficiency and customer value.
Strategic Risk Management:
Identify potential business processes or technology project risks. Propose mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and ensure successful delivery.
Change Leadership:
Support change initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or systems. Facilitate training and communication to reduce disruption and maximize benefits.
Ethical Considerations:
Uphold ethical standards in all business analysis activities. Ensure that solutions are developed with integrity, promoting trust and aligning with company values.
Person Specification
Essential Attributes, Skills & Experience:
Business Analysis Expertise:
Proven experience (3+ years) in analyzing and documenting business processes and requirements in technology-driven projects.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and recommend actionable solutions. Experience in data modeling and interpretation.
Collaboration & Communication:
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate business requirements and technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops and build consensus.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product Portfolio Managers, Product Managers, and developers, to align on requirements and deliverables.
Customer-Centric Mindset:
Deep commitment to understanding and prioritizing customer needs when analyzing business requirements and proposing solutions.
Process Mapping Expertise:
Skilled in mapping and optimizing business processes using standard methodologies and tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).

Familiarity with flow-based and lean practices. Proven ability to support efficient value delivery through collaboration with Agile teams.

Knowledge of compliance or regulatory standards relevant to the business or industry.
Technical Acumen:
Basic understanding of technology platforms and systems, including knowledge of SQL, databases, or business intelligence tools, to support effective collaboration with technical teams.

Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or similar industries, providing insight into the unique challenges and opportunities these environments present.
