ELPAC Tester - Part-time / hourly bei Campbell Union School District

Working under an ELPAC Lead, testers will work with students individually and in group settings depending on the grade level and/or language domain being assessed. Testers will also be using audio recordings for part of the assessment at some grade levels.

ELPAC: The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) is a state assessment which assesses English Learners on the following language domains: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Testers will be trained by a district team on how to administer the assessments and will work under an ELPAC Lead Tester. Testers will also be required to sign a confidentiality affidavit. Duties: Working under an ELPAC Lead, testers will work with students individually and in group settings depending on the grade level and/or language domain being assessed. Testers will also be using audio recordings for part of the assessment at some grade levels. Knowledge/Experience: General needs and behavior of children ages 4-14 How to interact with both adults and children Proficient English speakers (strong pronunciation, intonation, and fluency skills) Speaking, reading, and writing in English Working collaboratively with others Basic clerical skills Time management skills Assignment Details: 2 day training Must be available at least 3 days a week, set days. January - May. Hours based on site school day - between 8:00am - 3:00pm Testing 12 schools - schedule varies per team
