Subject matter expert in multiple areas of computing technology, and specific knowledge of molecular biology and genetics. Work collaboratively with Principal Investigator (%22PI%22) to determine the most suitable computational methods and tools to analyze large-scale biological data sets. Prepare reports for presentation or publication. Responsible for assisting PI in meeting the system needs for multiple research projects and/or labs.%26nbsp;%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3EThis position is available in the Liu Lab at the Department of Neuroscience. Our research brings together molecular, cellular, and systems approaches to study biological clocks, metabolism, and primate biology. We have opportunities for projects spanning genetics, single-cell omics, disease modeling, behavior studies, and data science. Candidates will lead independent research projects that align with their interests, and can choose from a broad range of topics including circadian and seasonal biology, metabolism, immunology, Alzheimer’s disease, and cancer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECandidates with experience in any large-scale data analysis are encouraged to apply. Expertise in single-cell transcriptomics, epigenetics, genetic variant analysis, image processing, or behavior tracking is directly transferable to our research projects, but not required.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe PI will work closely with the candidate to provide training tailored to their research project and career development. They will receive mentorship in study design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, and may participate in collaborative projects involving multimodal datasets across molecular, physiological, and behavioral domains. They may also gain hands-on experience in experimental pipelines if desired.
