The Cathedral School of St. Jude is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary School Counselor to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of our students while fostering a safe and nurturing school environment rooted in Catholic values.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor�s degree required; Master�s degree in School Counseling or related field preferred

Certification by the Florida Department of Education in School Counseling (or eligibility for certification)

Passion for the mission of Catholic education and commitment to the teachings of the Catholic faith
-
Experience in providing individual and group counseling, implementing social and emotional learning (SEL) programs, and collaborating with faculty, parents, and administration to promote student well-being
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to plan and implement guidance curriculum and support students through academic, personal, and social challenges
-
Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening and Safe Environment training.
About the Role:
The School Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to help students develop the skills necessary for success in school and in life. Responsibilities include delivering classroom guidance lessons, providing short-term individual and group counseling, supporting students� social and emotional growth, consulting with teachers and parents, and coordinating with community resources when appropriate.
