About the Opportunity
This position combines hands-on maintenance responsibilities with health and safety coordination. You’ll be responsible for maintaining equipment and systems while helping ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Replace electrical components including relays, switches, motors, and sensors
- Rewire motors and replace bearings
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty electronic components
- Interpret electrical schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance
- Support plant operations during off-hours as needed
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Conduct safety audits and inspections
- Coordinate safety training and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting systems
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the facility
- Serve as a point of contact for health and safety-related matters
About You
- Experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical and electrical systems)
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and operational reliability
