Description

[Company Name] is a reputable automotive dealership dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Finance & Insurance Manager to join our team and contribute to our success by selling finance and insurance programs to new and used car customers.

Job Purpose: The Finance & Insurance Manager is responsible for generating additional revenue for the dealership through the sale of finance and insurance products, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining compliance with dealership policies.

Essential Duties:

  • Treat customers in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Ensure that the proper follow-up schedule is attached to all completed sales.
  • Complete all necessary customer satisfaction forms and submit them promptly.
  • Coordinate with the service department to provide additional warranty information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales staff on the computer follow-up system.
  • Maintain a daily log sheet and share totals with the sales manager.
  • Sell financing and extended warranties to customers.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with various finance sources, including factory representatives.
  • Keep the general manager and sales manager informed of any special programs offered by finance sources.
  • Submit paperwork to finance sources and obtain approval for all finance deals.
  • Train salespeople on effective methods of selling financing options.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager to achieve a reasonable profit from every sale.
  • Develop finance forecasting in conjunction with the sales department to achieve desired penetration and income percentages.
  • Maintain a daily operating control to monitor performance.
  • Prepare monthly reports on finance penetration and share with the sales manager.
  • Review all paperwork for accuracy on both finance and cash deals, ensuring correct title lien, taxes, and delivery documents.
  • Establish and meet monthly objectives for finance and insurance sales.
  • Prepare and actively participate in sales meetings.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the policies and procedures of the sales department.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, a plus
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Finance & Insurance Manager or similar role in an automotive dealership setting.
  • Proven track record of success in selling finance and insurance products.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems and finance software.
