Equipment Service Technician (EST) - Service Installation
Edmonton, Alberta
 The Equipment Service Technician – Service Installation promptly installs, maintains, and repairs dental equipment. Contacts vendors and co-ordinates repairs sent directly from customers and technicians to vendors. Communicates all aspects of repairs and estimates to customers, provides customer service for repair and maintenance inquiries. Co-ordinates certification of non-compliant equipment inventory.
With a persistent focus on customer service, the Equipment Service Technician – Service Installation provide quality, innovation, and high standards of performance to achieve superior customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • A post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. appliance repair, equipment servicing, mechanical, electronics or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Service/Equipment in the dental industry is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience completing installations, maintenance and repairs to large equipment and/or commercial appliances
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
  • Has the patience and ability to work through technical issues with non-technical clients
  • Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and listening
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively support clients over the telephone. Troubleshooting and installing various peripherals including printers, scanners, multimedia, video digital imaging and USB connected devices
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
  • Frequent exposure to customers; handling of queries and calls
  • Proven time management and organizational skills with experience in a fast paced environment
  • Experience using hand, power and soldering tools
  • Ability to research, understand and follow equipment manuals and schematics
  • Ensure work orders, billings and parts/tool inventory completed and submitted as per company expectations
  • Proven initiative, strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to regularly unpack, lift and move heavy dental equipment with ease on a daily basis
     
Please note: Daily travel within Edmonton and the Surrounding Area is required for this position. Occasional overnight travel to customer sites is also required. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license.
