We are currently seeking a Quality Manager for a client specializing in plastics technology for the automotive industry. This is a dire-hire role based in Woodstock, AL that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE: 
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s Quality Assurance function to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that necessary certifications, including IATF 16949, are obtained, maintained, and continually improved. The position manages QA departmental resources, implements and maintains change management processes, and drives Quality Management System compliance using 8D problem-solving methodologies. Additionally, the role plans and delivers Quality training to leadership, QA teams, and shop floor employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements across the organization.
  • Ensure organizational certifications (e.g., IATF 16949) are obtained, maintained, and improved.
  • Manage QA departmental resources and directly lead the Quality team to ensure QMS compliance.
  • Plan and deliver Quality training for leadership, QA staff, and shop floor employees.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain change management processes and other necessary QMS procedures.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of all Quality initiatives and processes.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customer and regulatory requirements, assisting in complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Lead or participate in internal Quality System audits and complete part approval documentation.
  • Investigate root causes, define improvement actions, and track execution to achieve Plant Quality Goals.
  • Apply 8D problem-solving methodology to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 7 year of experience within the Quality Function
  • Minimum 5 year of management experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Understanding of all OEM requirements
  • Extensive knowledge in all IATF 16949 requirements
  • Understanding of CMM reports
  • Ability to perform MSA studies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of customer portals
  • Understanding of Gages and Gage R&R’s
  • IMDS Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge in VDA 6.3 Process Audits and Product Audits
  • Self-starter and intrinsically motivated
  • Experience in customer specific requirements
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
  • Location: Woodstock, AL
  • Schedule: 40/hours per week
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Travel: As needed
  • Assignment Start: ASAP
