DEPARTMENT:
JOB SUMMARY:
Service and/or repair Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs). Included but not limited to maintaining, repairing and/or replacing TRU engines, compressors, belts, filters, fuel tanks and all items related to the unit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of TRUs (Transport Refrigeration Units) Carrier and Thermo King units.
- Evacuating / charging freon
- Decision making and problem solving required
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
- Must be able to work night shifts and weekends
- Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma preferred
- Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record
- Minimum four (4) years’ work experience and/or classroom related training
- Must furnish basic hand tools and roll-away toolbox
- Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test
