Description

Where Innovation Takes Flight

At Innovative Composite Engineering (ICE), we don’t just make parts — we craft the advanced composite components that help aircraft soar, rockets launch, and innovations take shape. Every tube, fairing, and structure that leaves our facility is built with precision, pride, and the knowledge that it plays a role in shaping the future of aerospace technology.

If you thrive on technical challenge, precision craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of seeing your work reach the skies, this is where you belong.

Position Summary

Preps and paints surfaces of composite parts with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices.

This position demands more than basic production skills — it requires an experienced, detail-driven professional who can interpret technical instructions, meet demanding tolerances, and consistently deliver aerospace-grade quality.

What You’ll Do

· Perform all preparatory work (obtains supplies, equipment and maintains supply inventory).

· Perform all duties associated with the treatment, preparation, and coating of composite surfaces.

· Prepare surfaces by mechanical means, i.e. scraping, masking and sanding surfaces.

· Clean, degrease, and remove all oil and wax buildup. Remove dirt from surfaces so that coating materials will adhere properly.

· Mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted.

· Mix, thin, blend, match, tint, and tone coating materials following specific oral and written directives and specifications.

· Applies coating materials such as primers, paints, clearcoats using standard application techniques and ensures that the coatings and finishes meet quality requirements.

· Performs spray gun flushing and cleaning of equipment, spray booth and filters.

· Paint insignia, letters or numerals on part surfaces using stencils.

· Perform other duties as requested.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safety-focused work      environments that reflect the precision of our products.
  • Uphold company standards for craftsmanship,      documentation, and production quality that align with aerospace      requirements.

  • Motivated      by quality, precision, and the knowledge that your work contributes      directly to mission-critical aerospace applications.
  • Self-driven,      dependable, and passionate about continuous improvement — both in your      craft and the process.
  • Able      to perform physically active work requiring manual dexterity, fine motor      skills, and sustained focus.
  • An      effective communicator and team player who values professionalism,      craftsmanship, and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

· 3+ years of composite manufacturing or advanced Knowledge of preparation and painting, support equipment and allied components.

· Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills.

· Excellent communication and people skills.
