About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic communications professional to join our team as the Enterprise and Executive Communications Lead. In this role, you will play a critical role in advancing Element’s corporate narrative through strategic communications initiatives and executive-level support. This role is highly collaborative, requiring strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to design and implement communication strategies and programs that drive organizational alignment and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute communications strategies for enterprise-wide initiatives (e.g., compensation and benefits, talent and learning, strategy updates and progress, digital and technology programs, sustainability).
- Partner with senior leaders and business partners to translate complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Ensure alignment of messaging with Purpose, Values, strategy, and brand.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, providing strategic counsel on communication opportunities, risks, and impact.
- Support ExCo members (CPO, SVP, Operations, CLO) and other executive committee members as required with presentations and thought leadership content.
- Prepare messaging for key internal and external platforms, including employee town halls, industry conferences, and digital channels.
- Manage executive profiles and communication presence across select platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, external panels, stakeholder forums).
- Partner with communications colleagues to ensure consistency of executive messaging across functions and channels.
- Lead integrated communication planning across channels to support initiatives, ensuring timely and coordinated execution.
- Establish measurement frameworks to evaluate effectiveness, engagement, and business impact.
- Continuously refine strategies based on insights, best practices, and stakeholder feedback.
- Model excellence in execution, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership.
- Mentor junior colleagues informally through project work and knowledge sharing.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years of Corporate Communications experience in matrixed organizations.
- Proven ability to work closely with senior executives, providing high-quality strategic and tactical communications support
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing communications strategies for large-scale initiatives and transformations.
- Strong business acumen, with communications that are prioritized and driven by organizational needs.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions, with a partnership mindset.
- Proactive nature and anticipates executive clientele needs related to organizational communications
Location: Toronto, Ontario
The hiring base salary range for this position is $99,200 to $136,400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
