Summary Description:
Under general supervision and direction of the Area Team Leader, the operator will perform work in the assigned work centers/area. The work centers can vary from: CORE, Laser/Turret, Powder Coat, Tube Fab, Plastics, Assembly, etc., based on company need.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Completes tasks associated with Assembly or Fabrication job descriptions as assigned; Responsible for performing brazing operations to join metal parts according to specifications, using a torch method while ensuring strong, clean, and precise joints.
- Practice appropriate safety, security and environmental procedures. Handle relevant equipment with care, being concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety concerns to Supervisor/Lead.
- Exercise care of all tools, machines and equipment through proper use and storage.
- Maintain a clean work area, including daily sweeping of floors, racking of tools, dies, guides and related equipment. 5S responsibilities.
- With training, guidance, and time management, work on pace to meet production schedules.
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and to be cross-trained and work in other areas as assigned.
- Provide regular updates to direct supervisor regarding progress and non-routine occurrences that may disrupt work schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to operate, monitor, and adjust machinery or production related equipment.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing safety procedures.
- Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with minimal supervision; able to make decisions using own initiative adhering to company policies.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques. Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot, problem-solve and effectively and efficiently make decisions.
- Understanding of production documentation, such as work orders, blueprints, or standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools or machines used in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer or data entry skills for logging production information.
- Communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members or supervisors; Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Commit to consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards always.
Level Requirements (Minimum):
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Ability to access data on a computer and accurately enter information required
- Able to interpret blueprints method sheets and standard work
- Able to communicate and manage work priorities and proper work practices effectively

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to 10-12 hours per day
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and motor control to use common drafting implements and calculators.

Salary Grade** for this role is as follows:
Min: $19.00/hour
Mid: $21.00/hour
Max: $22.00/hour
