Administers immunizations, obtains medical histories, collects specimens, and provides education and counseling to clients.
Responsibilities
1. Administers vaccines and other injections to children and adults in a clinic setting.
2. Conducts patient education and counseling.
3. Functions as preceptor for co-workers and students.
4. Obtains medical histories and performs physical assessments.
5. Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Experience and Training:
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program. Completion of an accredited vocational school of nursing program.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Licensed as a Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas. Must be able to perform specialized nursing skills.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard clinic environment. Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking, with ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
