Schedule: Weekends | Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
Compensation: $55 per hour + $1,000 weekend stipend

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice provides compassionate and holistic hospice care to patients and families across Pierce County. We are seeking an experienced Hospice Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a weekend on-call role focused on patient admissions and urgent visits.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-call admissions nurse during weekends, performing initial hospice assessments and completing required documentation.
- Conduct in-home or facility-based admissions, evaluations, and symptom management visits as needed.
- Provide expert clinical judgment, emotional support, and education to patients and families during the admission process.
- Communicate and coordinate with the hospice interdisciplinary team (physician, social worker, chaplain, aides) to ensure timely and compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate and prompt documentation in the EMR system.
- Respond to urgent calls and coordinate follow-up care as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Active Washington State RN license (or compact equivalent).
- Hospice admissions and on-call experience required.
- Proficiency with HCHB (HomeCare HomeBase) EMR required.
- Strong clinical assessment, organization, and communication skills.
- Compassionate and composed under pressure; able to manage emotional patient and family interactions.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
- Must be available to work Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM PST.
