System Administrator bei Bostondynamics

The System Administrator will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Team responsible for the deployment and maintenance of the corporate network supporting the company’s growing business needs.  You will work with a team to help ensure high availability across all systems and applications along with remediation as required. You will provide hands-on technical support for requests that are escalated from our Service Operations team.

Day to day activities:

• Responsible for managing an enterprise network; includes the design, configuration, documentation, maintenance and monitoring of a critical secure network environment

• Create and maintain network infrastructure documentation, including system diagrams and network configurations

• Work closely with all IT and Engineering leads to address operational requirements for new and existing systems

• Troubleshoot intricate network and systems issues throughout all layers of the network

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience

• At least 2-4 years of previous relative work experience

• Strong understanding of enterprise routing and switching

• Experience with networking upgrades, operating systems and network security

• Working knowledge of the standards and protocols of TCP/IP.

• Industry certification is a plus – CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE

• Excellent collaboration and customer service skills

• Comprehensive, end to end troubleshooting skills

• Strong work ethic and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to own, analyze, and solve complex technical problems with attention to detail

• Experience managing wireless networks in a robotics (or similar) environment is a plus

• Cloud/Security certifications are a plus

• Onsite office presence with occasional weekend / off-hours maintenance; participation in on-call rotation

• Demonstrated willingness to learn as we will invest in industry certifications

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; a sense of humor is a must!
