Storeroom Technician bei Cardinal Glass

Position Overview

This position is responsible for stock and store keeping, primarily focused on keeping, tracking and maintaining store inventory for the supply cage and satellite storage sites for the plant. Inventory control will require in-depth knowledge of CMMS software functionality related to stocking spare parts and supplies. Position also requires candidate be functionally skilled in MS Office suite and be able to routinely navigate between multiple web browser applications and programs. Candidate will also be responsible for general 5-S conditions and standards for their area of responsibility; and where appropriate, to implement 5-S standards to update inventory store locations.

Schedule is Monday thru Friday 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM with some mandatory overtime during weekdays and weekends as required based on equipment needs.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory using the CMMS
• Responsible for stocking of inbound parts in cage bins, cabinets, and stocking shelves or racks.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and regularly scheduled inventories of parts on hand
• Responsible for maintaining 5-S conditions for all areas of responsibilities
• Assists with submitting purchase requisitions to replenish inventory levels as needed
• Assists with researching parts, validating stockage levels, and other special projects as required to cover lunches/breaks
• Assists in receiving & validating receipt of UPS, FedEx, On-Track and any LTL freight deliveries as required to cover lunches & breaks of other team members
• Assists in the organization & labeling of HAZMAT in preparation for removal / shipment off-site
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written/verbal formats and be able to work with other team members to meet deadlines on projects or other work as assigned
• Must make sure lunch is taken before the 5th hour of work, and punch in and out for lunches
• Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally with good effect understandable English

Non-essential Job Functions

To help & assist with basic plant/equipment general support, safety and cleanliness functions

Requirements & Qualifications

Must have high personal and professional safety standards

Must have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and able to use supplied hand tools to maintain the cage and stockage bins and cabinets

Must have experience in stock keeping, material accounting or inventory control (1 yr.)

Must have experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials (oils, fuels, lubricants, etc.)

Must comply with company policies, rules and regulations, according to the employee handbook

Must be able to maneuver heavy materials and parts, with or without material handling equipment
