This role is fully remote within the U.S.; however, if you live within a 35-mile radius of our Draper or Orange County offices, you will be expected to work onsite two to three days per week.

The Regional Sales Representative (RSR) will promote and sell our SaaS products for our NEOGOV (Human Capital Management) division to our current customers in local government. This position includes managing SDR, marketing and self sourced leads, online product demonstrations, sales presentations, contract negotiations and support of the overall sales and marketing efforts. The primary objective of the Regional Sales Representative (RSR) role is to expand the sales of NEOGOV products and to convert competitive products in a manner that complies with company policy and sales direction. The RSR provides support to the aligned region/division for all sales-related activities, and upon successful completion of duties, will assume territory responsibilities as a Sales Representative.
In this role, the RSR will be trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of our products by local government agencies. This position requires the ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology. Additionally, you will be expected to execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, ethical, and which leads the customer to action.
Position Duties
- Create Sales Campaigns for small to medium sized accounts and closely coordinate company involvement.
- Identify, qualify leads, generate and close new business (expansion and additional product) sales with existing accounts to achieve revenue quota on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
- Establish and maintain a productive, professional relationship with key personnel in assigned prospect accounts.
- Complete NEOGOV product leadership for all products.
- Drive a matrixed territory business that includes: sales development, partners, sales engineers, professional services, finance and legal to drive a prospect to close.
- Prepare and present sales demos via screen share.
- Negotiate and close deals following the company's practices and processes.
- Ensure orders meet all legal and financial requirements and manage receivables.
- Analyze potential sales opportunities by using data analysis, segmented research and information to identify the attributes most valued by the potential clients.
- Demonstrate the ability to construct a tangible business case by compiling data and comparing to agencies to demonstrate ROI.
- Demonstrates ability to engage C-level within an organization and present organizations offerings.
Minimum Qualifications
- A consultative sales professional
- An expert communicator with a business acumen
- Organized, efficient and focused on your targets, while maintaining a high level of integrity
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
What you Have
- 3-5 years of sales experience within a quota-driven environment with a proven track record of selling complex enterprise solutions over the phone
- Prior experience selling to government agencies or Public Safety related SaaS sales experience (strongly preferred)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
