The Senior Project Manager is responsible for key functions and analytical consultation. They develop, maintain and present high level analytics in support of key strategic financial initiatives. Maintains key relationships to play a key consultative role in development of strategic planning. Through the development of proformas, long and short range financial plans and issue based analytics. As well as support in the annual operating and capital budget processes utilizing a high level of problem solving skills and customer service responsiveness. The Senior Project Manager exercises independence and judgment in the management of their time and workload.
The Sr Financial Consultant is responsible for key functions and analytical consultation. As well as support in the annual operating and capital budget processes utilizing a high level of problem solving skills and customer service responsiveness. The Consultant develops, maintains and presents high level analytics in support of key strategic financial initiatives. Through the development of proformas, long and short range financial plans and issue based analytics. The Senior Financial Consultant maintains key relationships to play a key consultative role in development of strategic planning. The Analyst exercises independence and judgment in the management of their time and workload.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the development of analyses and proforma to support hospital and corporate initiatives, including financial evaluation of strategic initiatives. Produces and presents findings as well as coordinate ongoing performance evaluation of proforma (Look back Analysis) as assigned.
- Work with department managers and administration in the development of the annual operating budget.
- Evaluate budget variances and make recommendations on appropriate corrective actions.
- Performs P/L analysis on hospital services, clinics, physicians, departments, payors, etc.
- Collaborate with the hospital’s Chiefs and Administrators to develop, monitor, and evaluate business plans in alignment with the hospital’s goals and objectives.
- Coordinate the development and distribution of reports that include Physician Volume Reports, Service Level Reports, Ad Hoc reports.
- Recommend and prepare for approval and implementation of the hospital’s financial policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req Bachelor's degree In Accounting, Finance or Business
- OR 7-10 years of experience in field may substitute for Bachelor's Degree
- Req 5 years Experience in hands-on related short/long range financial planning, operating and capital budgeting.
- Req Experienced Project Manager or Senior Budget/Reimbursement Analyst with the skills and experience to function independently.
- Req Organization/time management skills.
- Req Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
- Req Demonstrates ability to utilize effective, appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
- Req Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills.
- Req Leading/ guidance skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pref Hands-on experience preparing and analyzing acute care hospital service line profitability and third party payor reimbursement data is strongly preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only).
