Registered Nurse - Wound Care Clinic - Casual bei Indiana Regional Medical Center

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In this role you will be:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care.
• Coordinating nursing care in conjunction with other members of the health team.
• Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, HBO technician, and Nursing Students in rendering care to patients.
• Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team.
• Responding quickly and appropriately to changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
• Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life and identifies age-specific needs and plans care accordingly.

Required:

• EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years med-surg experience preferred
  • Wound care experience preferred
  • HBO experience preferred or attained within 2 months of hire (FT and PT only)
  • Experience in outpatient clinic setting preferred
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
  • Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania
  • BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Wound certification preferred
