Wage Range: Hours + Production Bonus $20.00-$22.00
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for monitoring the condition of the gear and inventory of the G3 farms in South Bend and Bay Center. The supervisor will conduct regular sampling of oysters to evaluate survival and growth in the G3 cages, as well as aid in daily farm activities when required by the farm manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bag flipping in South Bend and Bay Center farms
- Monitor condition of G3 gear (rope, cages, markers, G3 processor)
- Replace or fix broken or worn-out G3 gear
- Back up operator for the G3 processing barge
Qualifications
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must complete safety orientation prior to working on the beach.
- Must be physically able to lift and handle sixty pounds.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Must wear proper safety gear when necessary.
- Must work well with other crew members
- Must be capable of understanding and following instructions from the farm manager and director.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions at various times of the day and night and weekends.
- Must be able to operate outboard skiffs and small scows.
- Must have a WA State safety boaters' card
