Pharmacy Technician Tutor 

Schedule:  Thursday and Saturday 12p-430p and Friday night 430-9p Eastern time. 

Ross is looking for Pharmacy Technician academic tutors to provide individual and group tutoring for Ross students to:

• Grow and become more independent learners and succeed in college
• Reach their goals
• Get individual and small group attention on specific improvement areas

This is a part time remote position with this schedule: Thursday and Saturday 12p-430p and Friday night 430-9p Eastern time. 

Job duties

Breaking down Ross Lessons: Tutors study lesson plans and review textbooks to understand the topic they will be teaching. 

• Meet with students to review and clarify concepts taught in class
• Helping students solve problems 
• Providing study skills and alternative methods of studying 
• Communicating with instructors and Student Services Advisors to help further the students along their educational goals
• Modeling successful learning techniques, strategies, attitudes, and beliefs that successful learners use
• Use Ross technology to smoothly communicate with students

Requirements

• Must supply own equipment: Laptop/Desktop, Webcam, Microphone and dependable high-speed internet access
• Must have quiet, calm dedicated workspace
• Must live/work within driving distance to a Ross campus (AL, IA, IN, KY, MI,OH, TN, WV)
• Must have patience, positivity, empathy, confidentiality, technical knowledge, active listening, communication, and leadership skills
• Understanding of basic math
• Ross Pharm Tech (PHT) Graduate or former Ross PHT Instructor Strongly Preferred
