What to expect

The Portfolio Systems & Support Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of our transformation programme by leading the strategic oversight, configuration, and continuous improvement of the strategic Transformation solutions in particular our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution, ServiceNow (Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module). This role will support BAU and lead an exercise providing a capability review and gap analysis before scoping and leading a PPM re-launch project.

 

The Portfolio Systems & Support Lead will ensure that the PPM system effectively supports the transformation portfolio governance, investment planning, demand management, delivery, reporting and performance tracking across transformation initiatives, providing ‘a single version of the truth’. It will also be accountable for providing a high-quality administration and support service across the portfolio office and wider transformation function.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing ServiceNow SPM or similar PPM platforms.
  • Experience in configuring and administering PPM modules, including demand, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project lifecycle management, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in a Transformation Portfolio Office or Enterprise PMO environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Substantial experience in establishing successful, cross-functional, stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in, and experience of integrating Project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Trello)
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of financial planning and benefits tracking within a portfolio context.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of, and deliver, a functional strategy to achieve objectives.
