Hiring details:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Crawley. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Crawley, UK location.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and professionally develop software engineers
Develop and execute project and process plans while following and improving existing policies and procedures
Provide oversight, insight, and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with direct reports, peers, business partners, and other stakeholders
Drive the future of Boeing’s training simulation technology and tools
Travel internationally as required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
7+ years of experience writing professional software with 3+ years in C, C++, C#, or Java specifically
5+ years of experience developing aircraft simulation software for flight simulator training devices
Demonstrable experience leading teams using one or more agile processes
Demonstrable experience working with external product management organizations
Ability to travel internationally (to Canada and the US) as required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience managing teams in the software development discipline
Experience with DO-178C safety critical software systems
Licensed pilot (FAA PPL/EASA PPL-A ASEL or higher), license does not have to be current and no medical is required for this role
Experience with integrated avionics systems
