Position Overview
The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Transplant & Cellular Therapy (TCT) Program continues to expand its outpatient services to support growing patient volumes and advances in cellular therapy and cancer treatment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team within the Center for Infusion and Apheresis. This position plays a critical role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, cellular therapy, and post-transplant supportive treatments.
The Infusion RN will deliver complex IV-based therapies, administer blood products and supportive care treatments, and ensure close clinical monitoring of post-transplant patients as they transition through their recovery. This position collaborates closely with nurse practitioners, physicians, pharmacists, and apheresis personnel to uphold excellent clinical outcomes and a positive patient experience in a fast-paced and specialized environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive IV therapies in accordance with established safety standards
- Provide assessment and monitoring for patients returning after stem cell transplantation or cellular therapy
- Support patient education regarding treatment expectations, side effects, and home care needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless coordination of care across outpatient settings
- Maintain regulatory compliance and accurate documentation for all therapies administered
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program (required)
- Current Tennessee RN licensure or eligibility for licensure (required)
- Preferred experience in Oncology, Infusion Therapy, Blood & Marrow Transplant, or Cellular Therapy care
- Preferred completion of Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- If not currently certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
