JOB SUMMARY: The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and daily operations of WSC’s network infrastructure across corporate and satellite locations. This role plays a critical part in supporting business growth, including mergers and acquisitions, by assessing and integrating new infrastructure needs. The manager oversees a team of technical professionals, ensuring optimal staffing, development, and performance.

Overall responsibility for the strategic direction and day to day operations of all WSC network infrastructures as it relates to business as usual, as well as new expansions.
Work closely with M&A acquisition team to provide infrastructure recommendations ad implementations as it relates to potential acquisitions. This would be accomplished by performing a series of activities which would include a high-level discovery, detailed assessment, configuration recommendation including costs, followed by an installation timeline and a steady state recommendation.
Determine staffing needs and develop staffing plans to include appropriate mix of staff and contractors.
Hire, manage, and develop staff through training, mentoring, and use of performance management processes.
Create a positive team-oriented work environment.
Provide educational opportunities to staff to expand their technical knowledge to meet the current and future business needs.
Create and maintain current network configuration diagrams and documentation for all WSC networks/connectivity.
Work closely with asset procurement to ensure timely and accurate planning and purchasing of infrastructure appliances, network connectivity, and software.
Maintain a high level of network stability through the creation and adherence to network infrastructure policies and procedures, in addition to automated monitoring, and reporting.
Stay current on new technology trends/tools available to enhance the efficiency of the WSC infrastructure.
Partner with the CIO and business sponsors to ensure projects and strategies meet the future business needs.
Creates and delivers presentations on infrastructure initiates as it related to the corporate office as well as satellite offices.
Various responsibilities for sourcing, negotiating, and managing outside vendors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Has a solid understanding of area of specialization.
Solid understanding of various departments within the organization and satellite office environments.
Adherence to internal policies and procedures (standards, controls, and metrics).
Ability to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Advanced knowledge in network hardware, configurations, software, and monitoring tools.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to develop strategies and work plans for own tasks.
Proactively seeks training and developmental activities related to the industry.
Comfortable with escalating issues as needed and follows established escalation procedures.
Able to foster one-on-one relationships within the department.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
7+ years of Infrastructure and Networking experience.
BS in Computer Engineering/Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
