Description
- Maintain a caseload of at least 50 clients.
- Provide Officer of the Day coverage for crisis and walk-in clients as scheduled.
- Screen clients for intake appointments and/or referrals.
- Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Attend all scheduled clinical debriefings, staff meetings, and team meetings to assess client needs, strengths, and resources, and contribute to treatment planning.
- Complete all required documentation—including charts, reports, service plans, needs assessments, and correspondence—within agency and Department of Mental Health/Medicare guidelines and timelines.
- Collaborate professionally and effectively with clinical and psychiatric staff.
- Network with community resources to facilitate client linkage and referrals.
- Conduct home visits when necessary and safe.
- Work at least one evening per week.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working with chronically mentally ill individuals and providing crisis intervention.
- Must comply with all HIPAA regulations and related state confidentiality laws.
- Successful completion of the Center’s HIPAA training, including passing the HIPAA test and receiving Certification of Compliance.
- Regular attendance, punctuality, and active engagement with colleagues are essential functions of the role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Chronically mentally ill populations
- Crisis intervention techniques
- Community resources
- Social Security and General Relief (GR) benefit programs

- May be required to hold a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable under the Center’s auto insurance policy.
- Spanish language proficiency is desirable for certain positions within this classification
