Junior Patroller - Winter 2025/26
Department: Ski Patrol Location: Gilford, NHWant to learn to be a Ski Patroller? Join Gunstock's Junior Patrol Program!
Junior Patrollers will work under the direction of the Safety Services Manager, assisting the full time and/or part time staff with the daily activities of the Safety Services Department and any other program run by the department.
Requirements/Expectations:
- Age requirement: ages 15-17, Junior Patroller must be 15 by December 31st of the current year.
- Are expected to arrive on time, dressed appropriately, ready for work at the time of the morning meeting.
- Must actively participate in the Junior Patrol program, and show willingness to learn, and enthusiasm while on duty.
- Are expected to always work with the utmost respect to safety, to understand and adhere to the Skier Responsibility Code, PARK Smart, and the Responsibilities of Skiers and Passengers as stated in NH RSA 225-A:24, and all other policies/procedures set forth by the mountain.
- Junior Patrollers shall actively work through Junior Patrol/Candidate Check off List with a completion goal by the time they turn 18 years of age.
- Are expected to ski/snowboard at an NSP level I with proficiency.
- Through behaviors, will demonstrate the Gunstock �values� whenever working at, representing, or visiting Gunstock Mountain Resort.
Skiing/Snowboarding Ability: The skiing/riding ability described is representative of the ability that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Employee must be able to ski or ride to the National Ski Patrol Level I standard, as outlined in the Gunstock Patrol Manual Appendix, on all groomed surfaces. Natural snow conditions, glades, and moguls are all considered level II. Additional training will be available to students who show consistent and proficient skiing/riding skills.
