Job Description: The Baylor Eats Sustainability Associate position is designed to equip students with experience in the area of organizational sustainability practices. This position will support the sustainability initiatives of Baylor University in collaboration with Baylor Eats through improving sustainable dining practices and educating the campus community about the significance of their participation in these efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Baylor University Innovation Fellows (UIF) to advance the Leave No Trace sustainability initiative.
· Oversee the implementation of UIF’s Sic ‘Em Sampling initiative.
· Actively engage directly with students, faculty, and staff during meal periods by educating on sustainability initiatives and encouraging participation in campus-wide efforts to improve sustainability practices in dining.
· Provide exceptional customer service and accurate sustainability information to diners, communicating any feedback to the Director of Food Insecurity Programs and UIF team. Assist with the set-up, execution, and breakdown of sustainability-focus events.
· Provide hands-on support for executing additional sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to composting, waste reduction, food recovery, and future sustainability projects.
· Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and Baylor Eats’ policy requirements.
