Major/Essential Functions
- Responsible for verifying, classifying and reconciling all expenses and income for the Memory Clinic, Research, Education, Outreach and Marketing divisions to ensure accuracy and fiscal integrity. Including the approval of purchases, travel and Pcard transactions. Reconciles each FOP.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear and concise financial reports to leadership and team members as requested.
- Responsible for preparing and executing the Institute’s annual budgets. Assist in annual report preparation. Responsible for understanding and interpreting financial statements & budgets.
- Assist the GIA Executive Director and faculty/staff during grant submissions including the preparation of the budget portion of grants. Act as liaison with OSP for research grants and reviews all compliance issues related to budgets, including pre- and post-awards processes.
- Check day-to-day GIA budget, prepare monthly GIA Financial report, and act as liaison between the GIA, budget, accounting and other financial departments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments, faculty, clinicians, and administrative leadership. Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Oversee Institute’s human resource functions including EPAF’s, hiring process, leave records and liaison with Human Resources Department of TTUHSC.
- Serve as liaison with other institutional departments to ensure compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations.
- Assist with daily business matters in the administrative offices as needed. Assist with outreach activities as needed.
- Other duties that are assigned, as needed, in order to accomplish the mission/goals of the institute, such as financial reporting, forecasting, and budget development .
- Observe work and safety rules. Responsibility also includes ensuring overall cleanliness of the office/work area.

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare clear and concise financial reports to leadership/team members.
- Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budget forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures and ensure fiscal accountability.
- High proficiency in financial modeling and TTUHSC accounting software.
- Prior experience in a role developing and managing multi-source budgets (state, clinical, research, and foundation funds).
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting for operational and strategic decision-making. Commitment to maintaining fiscal integrity, transparency, and accountability in support of institutional goals.
