You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. This position will work in our Omaha office.

Ways you will make an impact:

  • Provide vision, design, and leadership of a comprehensive development program for a Division I Athletic Department, Omaha Athletics.
  • Plan and implement major gift fundraising in support of Omaha Athletics, including identification and cultivation, solicitation, maintenance of records, and stewardship.
  • Manage and supervise athletic fundraising staff members.
  • Establish and oversee strategy in coordination with Omaha Athletics’ Vice Chancellor for Athletics.
  • Serve on the Omaha Athletics leadership team and UNO Advancement Leadership Team, serving as a liaison between the University of Nebraska Foundation and Omaha Athletics.

What you need:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Education: Master’s degree.
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in development or a related field with transferrable skills.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working in collegiate athletics and experience managing a team.
  • Demonstrated success in the solicitation of annual and major gifts, or transferable skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage a variety of projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Discretion in handling and navigating confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidates will also be evaluated on our core values of passion for mission, integrity, and teamwork.
