Major/Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot weather sensors, completing repair when possible, coordinating external repair with supplier when necessary
- Maintain laboratory to support instrument repair and calibration
- Perform regular instrument calibration, complete battery testing, soil conductivity measurements, and other technical measurement tasks that benefit the West Texas Mesonet
- Help develop an inventory and bar code reader system to keep track of sensors, organize storage systems to support station maintenance and installation
- Assist with datalogger operating system and program updates and cell modem operating system upgrades
- Assist with ordering and receiving of weather station supplies
- Assist with field maintenance and installation efforts when needed

This position requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience.
