Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Service Lead is responsible for the operation and the success of the QSR as well as the people who work there. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Responsible for inventory control systems – may establish inventory schedules. Responsible for local marketing initiatives – may contact prospective customers to promote sales.  Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs all tasks and responsibilities of a GSR as outlined in GSR job description.
  2. Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
  3. Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
  4. Prepares food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner.
  5. Checks products in QSR area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
  6. Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
  7. Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image. Understands and adheres to the 3-step method for cleaning.
  8. Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in Burrito Loco Job Aids
  9. Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the Clipper Retail Handbook.
  10. Performs daily, weekly and monthly paperwork duties.
  11. Completes all training courses as directed. 

Qualifications


Education: Some high school or equivalent.

Experience & Skills:  Some previous restaurant experience required. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the QSR when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

 

Working Conditions: C-Store / QSR environment with some exposure to discomforting conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and noise from cooling units.  Physical demands are moderately heavy, limited to lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally climbing of ladders. Will be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
