Description
The Axiom Developer Sr. role is responsible for creating and managing regulatory reports, translating business requirements into functional specifications, designing, developing, and implementing Axiom solutions to meet business requirements, including creating data sources, data models, and reports. The individual will also collaborate with business users and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions. They will perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Would expect the developer to have a strong understanding of extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various systems into the Axiom platform. The Axiom Developer Sr. is responsible for producing monthly reporting information consumed by internal and external audiences. This role is a fast paced, deadline driven position, often requiring participation or leading of large complex projects. This individual will work closely with Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Regulatory Reporting, and IT.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement Axiom solutions to meet business requirements, resolve technical issues, and optimize performance
Collaborate with business, project managers, and other developers to understand project requirements
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Ability to troubleshoot all issues withing Axiom and work with vendor to resolve open items
Have a good understanding of scalability and needed solutions
Strong understanding of financial technology and regulatory reporting
Proficiency in Axiom ControllerView and other Axiom components: Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthand’s, Portfolios, Aggregations, Tabular Reports, Free Forms, and Data Lineage.
Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining data integrity
Expertise in data mapping metadata management and performance optimization
Familiarity with error handling, logging mechanisms, and security measures
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze and create solutions for data needs in a changing Regulatory reporting environment.
- Maintain/Modify/Solution Architect to manage the data process chain supporting Capital Plan (Annual and Quarterly).
- Champion/Manage the Axiom Controller View build-out needed to support the Regulatory Reporting team (FRY~,2052A,FDIC370).
- Manage a team of direct reports supporting Financial Information run/build environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Business or Finance discipline required.
- 5+ years Axiom experience in Financial Services Industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting financial regulatory reporting systems and data strongly preferred.
- Experience managing direct reports that are supporting financial systems and data preferred.
- Strong technical skillset in at least one major relational database platform. (SAS, MS SQL, Oracle, or IBM db2).
- Demonstrated knowledge depth in financial reporting tools (AXIOM, Essbase, Oracle, etc)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with any levels of management, up to and including the Executive level.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Understand the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant)
- Solid foundational understanding of major financial concepts including balance sheet, ledger, revenue and expenses.
- Experience in risk management or mitigation to interface with Risk and Audit colleagues.
- Ability to proactively manage issues and assignments, and move work forward with limited direction.
- Capable of establishing and managing changing priorities.
- Some weekend and late evening work required.

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
