About the Department
Under general supervision, provides program oversight to ensure Perinatal Home Visiting Program follows ACOG guidelines and to enhance/improve program promotion to physicians. Increase public awareness of Perinatal Home Visiting Program. Work with OB physicians to increase nursing patient caseload by conducting community and district outreach. Plans, develops, monitors, and evaluates operation of the Perinatal Home Visiting Program ensuring that all goals and objectives of the program are met. Performs record audits for quality assurance and program compliance. Manage and supervise staff. Identify staff training needs and provide/coordinate training to meet needs. Provide backup and support for staff by conducting home visits or phone consultations when assigned staff are not available or assistance is needed. Performs research for funding opportunities and submits grant applications annually to sustain/expand the program.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university, three (3) years of nursing experience, and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
Salary will be based on qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Prenatal, Labor/Delivery, and Postpartum Care and Supervisory experience.
