This is a Loader/Driver hybrid role. The main responsibilities in this role will be loading and unloading goods and materials safely and efficiently. In addition, this role assists with completing deliveries as a backup delivery driver. You will ensure timely delivery of our product to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our customers. Some deliveries may be local, and some require further travel that needs overnight stays. AWAA pays for travel expenses when overnight travel is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversee and/or assist in loading and unloading of products and materials.
• Using RF scanners to account for all products
• Report any incidents encountered to their lead/supervisor.
• Report serious mechanical loading problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep workspace and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
• Deliver AWAA windows & doors to different locations 
• Follow the assigned routes and time schedule 
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery truck 
• Complete logs and reports according to deadlines 
• Follow Company & DOT regulations and safety standards 
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from customers. 
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.
• Wear required PPE to maintain safety and adhere to all safety procedures and processes

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position regularly will require bending, lifting, pulling and pushing up to 75 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role operates on the road, at constructions sites, and in a warehouse/production environment. May be exposed to loud machine noises from production machinery, and possible exposure to hot/cold temperatures depending on season.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• At least 1 year of similar experience
• Effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)
• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver preferred
• Valid Driver License 
• Clean DMV record (no traffic violations)
