Job Description
CES Privacy Program Coordinator (part-time 28/hrs week)
Under the direction of the Director, CES Privacy & AI Governance Liaison, this position supports the CES Privacy Center through various managerial and administrative responsibilities. This role will be the go-to person to keep the CES Privacy operations running smoothly and efficiently in order to accomplish a significant amount of work to support BYU, BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Idaho, and Ensign College.
Some core activities include but are not limited to, supervising the privacy operations resource team, overseeing project management, coordinating shared resources, fulfilling purchasing and facilities requests, facilitating meetings, organizing documentation, refining processes, performing clerical duties, mentoring, and coaching direct reports, and assisting FT staff through administrative tasks. This position requires the ability to learn quickly and contribute to the maturing of the privacy programs across CES. This position is highly collaborative and requires strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, and leadership skills, as well as a desire to be an example of professionalism and productivity for our more junior and student employees.
What You'll Do in This Role
Supervise Privacy Operations Resource Team
Manage Privacy Operations team
Coordinate shared resource pool
Conduct monthly sprint planning, scrum meetings, and coordination efforts
Serve as a project manager on key initiatives
Track projects and key efforts
Mentor, coach, and lead employees to gain new skills and develop professionally
Conduct one on one’s to help employees remediate gaps and lean into strengths
Office Manager
Handle facilities and maintenance requests
Fulfill purchasing needs
Submit receipts, invoices
Plan team events
Facilitate team meetings
Administrative Assistant
Prepare presentations
Refine processes
Enhance needed documentation
Record and follow-up on action items
What Qualifies You for this Role
Required Experience:
1+ years' project management (IT project management exp. preferred).
2+ years’ experience in office management/administration.
2+ years’ experience as a supervisor.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and prior use of Scrum or Agile.
- Ability to work effectively with student employees.
- Extremely high levels of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage projects, track progress, and provide metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others to excel and stay on task.
- Works well with deadlines and the need to prioritize evolving demands.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority as
- appropriate.
- Excellent and transparent communicator.
- Strong ability to mentor, provide effective and meaningful feedback.
- Very capable at providing support to leadership team.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as contribute as a member of a team.
- Excellent business and technical writing skills.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred experience:
2+ years' experience as with IT project manager.
4+ years’ experience in office management/administration.- 4+ years’ experience as a supervisor.

Pay Grade: 51
Typical Starting Pay: $28.25 - $35.25
