About the Department
Temporary Snow Plow Operator – Public Works Department - West End - Full-time temporary position. Set hourly rate $26.15. First review11/14/2025, open until filled.
Provides assistance with County road snow removal.
Position Duties
- Operates a variety of heavy roadway equipment for the removal of snow from County roads.
- Works on a call-out basis during heavy snow accumulations.
- Assists with other emergency road repair projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of road hazards during winter conditions and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of the proper and safe use of a variety of heavy roadway equipment.
- Ability to operate a variety of motorized equipment and vehicles used in the performance of duties.
- Ability to work both independently or cooperatively in work crews.
- Physically perform the essential functions of the job.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: High school diploma or GED.
Other Qualifications
Valid state driver's license in state of residence
Experience operating motorized equipment during winter conditions.
Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License.
Class A combination and no air brake restrictions
