Internship Summary:
The Data Analytics Intern - Corporate HSES will play a key role in advancing the department's digital transformation initiatives by supporting the development and implementation of data-driven tools and technologies. This position will assist in creating and optimizing dashboards, automating workflows, and enhancing data integrity to improve safety, health, environmental, and sustainability performance across the organization. Working closely with HSES and IT stakeholders, the intern will help streamline reporting processes, support decision-making, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through innovative digital solutions.
Housing will not be provided for the internship
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of digital tools and dashboards that enhance HSES data management and reporting capabilities.
- Support the creation and optimization of Power BI dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), leading and lagging metrics, and performance trends.
- Collaborate in building SharePoint and Power Apps solutions to streamline manual workflows and improve user interaction.
- Gather, structure, and analyze data to maintain accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
- Document processes, workflow enhancements, and technical solutions to ensure long-term usability and sustainability.
- Work alongside team members to test, implement, and maintain digital solutions across the organization.
- Offer insights and suggestions to help shape the department's digital transformation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship.
- Familiarity or academic experience with Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps.
- Strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and visualization.
- Ability to communicate technical findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Excellent skills in communication, collaboration, and documentation.
- A proactive interest in learning HSES processes and leveraging digital tools to enhance safety and sustainability outcomes
- Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.
- Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
