Barber Station Assisted Living is currently seeking Med Techs to join our team!
We are looking for individuals who want to support our residents & who complement our hardworking and dedicated team. Don’t delay! Our Med Techs are eager to offer a friendly, kind, and supportive hand while enriching the lives of the individuals who live and work with us. Med Techs assistance with distribution of medication as well as activities of daily living for Residents under direction of the administrative or clinical staff. (No experience necessary – we are looking for individuals from all industries to apply.) We are currently hiring temp workers but can offer long-term work for those interested.
Essential Duties
- Administers and maintains prescribed medications and treatments for residents
- Attend to the needs of residents, which includes assistance with activities of daily living (i.e. personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring, and other health care related tasks)
- Takes vital signs or observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
- Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication.
Qualifications
Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have current CPR/First Aid certifications
If required by your state of residence, completion of state approved Caregiver program
Must have certification of state approved Medication Aide program for the Med Tech position
