Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking a BioMed Technician Lead to support our Operations team. You will be responsible for all functions including evaluating, testing, maintaining, repair, approved modifications, and calibration of biomedical equipment and systems. You will oversee the daily operations of the Biomedical department in accordance with this job description.
This role is onsite in Nashville, TN and will require travel to Wood Dale, IL 50% of the time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in multi-location biomedical operation facilities (50% travel required)
- Oversee equipment maintenance standards are being met in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in providing technical guidance to staff in accordance with industry standards and regulatory compliance
- Monitor Biomedical department staff including assigning and scheduling of daily workload, monitoring open work orders and other Asset Management System (AMS) items
- Implement and perform daily quality controls to ensure equipment readiness and AMS accuracy
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are being met
- Responsible for maintaining positive relations and communication with end users and department leaders to ensure customer services metrics are met
- Manage equipment related purchasing within department and company budgetary restrictions
- Monitors and submits daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports on equipment readiness
- Assist in maintaining parts and asset inventory and ensuring cycle counts are being completed with results reported to leadership
- Coordinates field service repairs between clinics, technicians and any 3rd party service providers
- Integrate interdepartmental services to ensure operational readiness
- Perform equipment maintenance, PM, inspections, calibrations on a variety of medical equipment
- Assist with training of technicians on maintenance procedures and upholding AMS compliance
- Ensures all documentation is properly filed in accordance with industry and company compliance
- Spend 50% of time on supervisory tasks while spending the remaining 50% spent working on equipment
- Ability to manage and integrate multiple systems to ensure timelines are being met
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by leadership
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in engineering or biomedical equipment technology preferred. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 10+ years of biomedical technology experience
- Must be able to successfully pass contractually required Federal background check.
