The Administrative Assistant II Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant II provides critical administrative and operational support to the APS team in responding to and managing reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults. This role ensures smooth program operations through effective clerical coordination, documentation management, scheduling, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, compassion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, sensitive environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The starting pay range for this role is $21.47 - $23.37, based on education and experience.
- This position is full-time and in person.

- As a full-time employee of NCHC, you would be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!
What Qualifies You:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of administrative experience in a human services, legal or healthcare setting.
- Current driver’s license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Clean driving record
- Use of a personal car
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in administrative services or a closely related field.
- More than two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a human services, legal or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of court filing procedures and confidentiality standards

What an Administrative Assistant II does at NCHC:
- Provide administrative support to APS staff, including preparing forms, scanning and e-filing documents, updating guardian contact lists, and maintaining case files.
- Manage and coordinate court-related functions, such as scheduling hearings, e-filing legal documents, processing payments, and serving court-related paperwork.
- Maintain the monthly review and court schedules, ensuring coordination with probate offices, corporation counsel, and law offices.
- Facilitate guardian screening and record check processes; assist with onboarding and compliance tracking.
- Serve as the first point of contact for APS visitors and callers, providing courteous assistance and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in managing the APS At-Risk Line by collecting and recording intake information from reporters when needed.
- Support APS staff in preparing guardianship training sessions, community meetings, and related program events.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and correspondence in compliance with confidentiality standards and program requirements.
- Ensure all documentation and activities comply with organizational policies, court mandates, and applicable state regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
