Base salary starts at $23.03 / hr.

E S S E N T I A L  F U N C T I O N S

•  Takes initiative to correct items, conditions, or repairs before they are reported to the Engineering department.
•  Implements all security policies and procedures.
•  Acts as the primary contact for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs).
•  Assists in maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
•  Solicits bids and quotes from vendors.
•  Makes minor plumbing repairs as necessary
•  Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves.
•  Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.
•  Replaces Fire Alarm devices.
•  Take Fire Panel off line.
•  Monitors, supervises and complete projects as assigned.
•  Understands which duties and work needs pre-approval and relates this to other staff and departments as necessary.
•  Complete scheduled preventative maintenance work orders issued.
• Other duties as assigned.

E D U C A T I O N

•  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• College or technical related education/licensure preferred.

E X P E R I E N C E

•  At least two years’ maintenance experience preferred.
•  Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
•  Certified craftsman preferred. 

C R E D E N T I A L S

•  Must certify in a nonviolence crisis intervention (MANDT) course during the training period, re-certify yearly to maintain certification throughout employment with IMH.
• Must have a current, valid, Wyoming driver’s license and be eligible for IMH liability insurance.

K N O W L E D G E , S K I L L S  A N D  A B I L I T I E S

•  General maintenance skills including: plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, refrigeration, health, cooling and med gas.
•  Ability to read and interpret blue prints, technical manuals and reports.
• Ability to use a computer, calculator, electrical equipment and work tools of various trades.
• Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate effective listening skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.
• Possess exceptional problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
• Ability to learn new computer software programs.
• Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.
• Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
