About the Department
Position Duties
- Assists with EMCC’s graphics needs, which include online and print ads, direct mail pieces and other special projects
- Covers EMCC social events and athletic events, which includes photography, online and social media posting and interacting with various news media organizations
- Partners with other team members to edit, contribute, and produce Lions’ Pride, EMCC’s alumni magazine, and other publications
- Assists with other projects and special publications for EMCC groups, including the Sports Information, Athletics, Development Foundation and Recruiting offices
- Assists with contributions while managing and/or monitoring the EMCC Facebook page and other electronic and social media outlets
- Content Creation: Plan, shoot, and produce a wide range of professional-quality video content (e.g., promotional videos, testimonials, campus tours, event coverage, and educational features) and still photography for marketing, recruitment, and internal communications.
- Post-Production: Execute all necessary editing, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and archival tasks to deliver final, polished assets on time.
- Equipment Management: Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate professional camera, lighting, audio, and grip equipment.
- Visual Strategy: Assist in developing and maintaining a unified visual identity and style guide for all photo and video assets. Organize and maintain the college's digital asset management (DAM) system for all visual media.
- Any other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree preferred |
Experience in communication and publication practices. |
1-3 years of documented experience in a comparable/related position |
