We're seeking qualified Health Aides to support residential rehabilitation care in a VA setting-professionals who are compassionate, technically proficient, and ready to make a difference in the lives of veterans.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a residential rehabilitation setting

• Assist with therapeutic and supportive tasks under the supervision of Physicians and clinical staff

• Monitor and report changes in patient condition

• Support patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with VA protocols

• Uphold the highest standards of patient dignity, safety, and confidentiality

✅ Required Qualifications

Certification

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Education

• High School Diploma required

• Minimum two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution

• At least 12 semester hours in health sciences, nursing, behavioral science, social science, counseling, teaching, biological sciences, or related fields

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation treatment program

• Demonstrated ability to assist clinical teams in therapeutic care delivery

Technical Proficiency

• Fluent in English (spoken, written, and comprehension)

• Proficient in computer systems and electronic health records (EHR)

• Must provide verifiable documentation of education, training, and any gaps in educational history

• Must comply with VA Medical Staff By-Laws and facility regulations

Resume Requirements

• Current resume or CV with three (3) professional references, including most recent supervisor

• Documentation of relevant experience and certifications

Training

• Completion of all VA-mandated training, including:

  • BLS and/or ACLS

  • EHR systems

  • VA-specific mandatory education modules

• Additional training may be required and communicated by the VA
