What You'll Do Join our innovative and dynamic People Technology engineering team as a Staff, Software Engineer. In this role, you will play an important role in developing and implementing digital solutions that solve mission critical business problems in supporting Walmart associates. Your projects will make a significant impact, be scalable, and drive Walmart’s modernization efforts in the People Technology organization. Specifically, lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable software solutions within People Tech – Well Being. This role requires expertise in analyzing requirements, driving technical architecture, and ensuring code quality and security. The engineer will collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality products, support continuous integration and deployment, and address performance and defect management. By applying advanced technical knowledge and guiding best practices, this position contributes to innovative, reliable, and efficient software systems that meet evolving organizational needs and industry standards.What You'll Bring
- Proven expertise in requirement and scoping analysis, including risk and cost analysis aligned with business objectives.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C, and experience with relevant frameworks and platforms.
- Experience in driving secure, scalable, and maintainable code development adhering to coding standards.
- Ability to design detailed solutions from high-level designs and contribute to agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with testing strategies, automation tools, and defect management processes.
- Competence in monitoring program metrics, CI/CD processes, and troubleshooting application performance.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
