About the Department
We are looking for top-notch Bachelor’s or Master’s degree graduates with at least 24 semester (36 term) hours in Accounting preferred who:
• Possess the ability to analyze and synthesize information and reach logical sound conclusions.
• Are interested in working in a government setting, performing both financial and performance audits.
• Can communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with agency staff, members of the Legislature, and all levels of OAG management and staff.
• Have a desire to work in a team setting.
Position Duties
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in Accounting. Please include GPA in Major, Overall GPA, and graduation date.
Additional prior auditing experience may allow for qualification for hire in the Assistant Auditor General (AAG) classification. (See the following potential AAG rates.)
Looking for Accounting Majors and/or Dual Accounting/IT Majors.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: finance, economics, information systems, business analytics, data analytics, statistics, quantitative methods, data science, or management may be substituted for the education for agency positions responsible for internal auditing or Office of Auditor General positions responsible for auditing.
