Description

This position is designed to meet company production standards for advanced carbon steel assemblies, maintaining quality welds using (GMAW) spray transfer [70C-6 .045 Metal Core wire], [70S-6 .035/ .045 hardwire]. Ability to layout/ fit assemblies per company provided Blueprints, all while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Read and interpret job specs to determine machine adjustments and weld times
• Check and verify parts meet specifications and quality tolerances
• Detect and report any defective product being produced or already produced.
• Communicate issues to supervisor (i.e. equipment issues, maintenance needs)
• Use various inspecting techniques and tools; tape measures, calipers, protractors, and weld gauges to check the conformance of produced parts
• Performs paperwork requirements and other duties as assigned and writes legibly
• Must keep a clean workstation, free of wood, bands, trash, and defective parts.
• Meet company production standards
• Perform weldments per customer job specifications and D1.1/ Familiarization in D9.1
• All other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• (Desired) 1 year experience in a production/ fabrication manufacturer
• Must pass a tape measurement assessment test
• Must pass a knowledge based written test (Class II)
• Must pass a weld test (GMAW) Short Circuit and Spray transfers
• Must pass a basic fit/layout assessment per company drawings
• Basic Blueprint knowledge
• Fabrication skills, including layout, cutting, grinding, and fitting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to operate an overhead crane
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 10/25/50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Must be punctual and have reliable attendance
