Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Lead Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine practice in Lynn, MA! This is a 40-hour onsite position. Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.Operational Responsibilities:
This position plays a key leadership role within the clinical operations team.
Responsibilities include:
-Providing guidance and oversight to Medical Assistants and Leads within the clinic.
-Collaborating closely with the Practice Manager and Director of Operations to support day-to-day clinic functions and strategic initiatives.
-Participating in recurring leadership meetings, including manager, staff, and operational meetings.
-Supporting staff development, including conducting or assisting with evaluations, training, regular rounding, and competency review.
-As preceptor, offering hands-on support to Medical Assistants as needed to ensure efficient clinical operations.
-Contributing to strategy development and process improvement efforts to enhance patient care and team performance.
Additional tasks include:
-One Call Resolve in the phone room
-Supporting staffing LOA, sick calls, vacations/work in flow with providers
-Supporting specialist- MA coverage
-Supporting Phlebotomist for same day visits
-POCT Audits
-Sweeping exam rooms/supply and inventory
-Vaccine and medication inventory management
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED
Medical Assistant course or diploma program or minimum of 3 years of professional experience
Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT
Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire
