Average Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. Overtime after shift and on Saturdays depending on business needs.

Job Description  

 

Job Summary:  

Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. Mechanic Apprentice will ensure the operation of our embroidery machines. The responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and replacing worn out parts. Training program will be in place. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.  

 
Duties/Responsibilities:  

All responsibilities mentioned below can be modified but not limited based on the company’s needs.  

  • Regularly inspect and assess the condition of embroidery machines. 
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, oiling, and adjusting parts of the machine. 
  • Reads, interprets, and follows manuals. 
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and computerized faults in embroidery machines. 
  • Repairs and/or replace defective machine parts as necessary.
  • Sets up embroidery machines according to job specifications, including changing needles and selecting appropriate threads. 
  • Test embroidery machines after maintenance or repairs to ensure optimal functionality. 
  • Maintains records of machine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. 
  • Adheres to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Basic maintenance procedures to prevent machine breakdowns. 
  • Consults with machine operators and managers to understand and address machine performance issues. 
  • Keeps updated with the latest embroidery machine technology and maintenance techniques.
  • Always keep the work area clean.
  • Assist other departments when necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Training: Open to learn and perform cross training in different areas.
  • Communicating: Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and maintain confidentiality.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead by example and obtain support from co-workers and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Skills: Mechanically inclined. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects. Ability to work in a fast paced/stressed environment while maintaining safety. Ability to perform all job functions in adherence to Lucchese philosophy and values, policies as well as the Environmental, Health and Safety standards and responsibility for housekeeping in the assigned area.

 

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:  

  • Experience: Mechanic experience preferred.
