$98,010.00 - $137,218.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
NP/PAFT position available, Monday to Friday Days, no weekends or holidays and no call responsibilities. Primary office location is Brighton with secondary offices in Brockport and Canandaigua (on occasion).
We are looking for an APP to help with our ever-increasing clinical need at the adult URMC Comprehensive Sleep Center. The focus of this job will be to improve access for patients and provide excellent clinical care in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team. Our practice has a focus on education and research with opportunities to participate in academic activities including monthly complex cases conference and journal club as well as annual conferences. The APP will be responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and flexibility are needed.
- In time, the APP will be expected to see established patients in an unsupervised capacity and some new patients with the guidance of attending physicians. This includes diagnosing, evaluating, and managing sleep conditions.
- Documents pertinent elements in electronic patient records.
- Prescribes and monitors controlled medications, orders procedures as appropriate, and manages PAP therapy with other health team members.
- Instructs and educates patients in collaboration with other health team members (registered nurse, sleep technologist, respiratory therapists, and attending faculty).
- Telephone/EMR follow up communications as required.
- Participates in quality assurance/ quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program required.
- Previous experience in ambulatory health care setting preferred.
- Clinical competence in a mix of well, acute, and chronic patients.
- NP Certification/Physician Assistant, NYC license, DEA license
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner
Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant
Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
